Manisha Koirala suffering from Jaundice

Nepali famous Bollywood actress Manisha Koirala has been sick again. She is suffering from Jaundice in recent days. Her family members said that, she was attacked by Jaundice 1 week ago and she is having medical treatment.

Manisha Koirala just had to fight against Cancer . She returned Nepal after cancer was cured in New York. Manisha Koirala is with her family  in Kathmandu in these days. She recentely wrote in social media that she is leaving to New York in Nov 20 for the follow up for the cancer. 

Mobile talk with Sexy Namrata Shrestha

Actress Namrata Shrestha is very attracted to gadgets, specially mobiles. Most of the time mobile is the only gateway to internet for Namrata as she rarely carry a laptop with her. She usually carry a Sony mobile and iPhone. Namrata got both of these phones as gifts. Namrata’s sister gifted her the Sony set and the iPhone 5 mobile was gifted on her birthday by Yamaha. Namrata is the brand ambassador of Yamaha motorcycle in Nepal.

Talking about history, Namrata says that it has been 10 years since she first owned a mobile. In the decade, she has also changed her mobile more than once a year. She says that she always loses or break mobile phones. During the shooting of ‘Chadke’ Namrata broke a Samsung mobile set. She felt bad for it as it was a costly mobile phone brought from abroad.

Namrata believes the technology has changed the world a lot. Everybody is just a click away. Namrata also admits – it all depends on how you use technology.

How many of the Nepali models are taller than 5 ft 8 in ? I suspect none. Wikipedia defines a model as ‘a person who is employed for the purpose of displaying and promoting fashion clothing or other products and for advertising or promotional purposes or who poses for works of art.’

How many of them are posing for ‘works of art’? Probably, none.How many of the internet models are ‘promoting fashion clothing’ or other product ? A very small number of them, I believe.

Some of you might say that the definition of model, in this digital age, is changed. I agree, and I also believe so. But, there is still something amiss, odd, or awkward on the way our modeling industry is shaping up. I have lost track of the beauty contests, being held every other day — and I won’t be writing about them anymore unless they are ‘big enough’ like Miss Nepal. These ‘model manufacturing’ contests might be one of the reason there are so many models around.

Celebrities at Trendsetters 2 Nepali Fashion Show (Photo Feature)

Several Nepali celebrities from the Chalchitra Industry participated in the Summer/Spring edition of Trendsetters Fashion Show that took place at Hotel de l’Annapurna poolside in Kathmandu yesterday. Organised by the Vootoo Entertainment, the Fashion show showcased designs from the popular designers including Aira , Astik Designs , Bishwo Gautam , Crossroad Apparel , Gabi , @House Of Fashion, Now, Odhani, Suruchira and Tenzin Tseten Bhutia Creations.

Participating in the Fashion Show were popular celebrities including Namrata Shrestha, Jharana Bajracharya, Malvika Subba, Malina Joshi, Priyanka Karki, Sahana Bajracharya, Reema Biswokarma, Raymon Das Shrestha and few other models. Former Miss Nepal Malvika Subba and RJ/VJ Sanjay Gupta who is also one of the founders of Vootoo Entertainment hosted the event. Here are some images from the event.

Priyanka Karki performed an aerial dance at the event who was later joined by model Anupama Aura Gurung on the stage.

The event concluded with the launch of TNM (The Nepali Man) Magazine, dubbed to be The Nepal’s first Complete Man’s Magazine. Rajesh Hamal is featured on the cover page of the Magazine.
