Miss Nepal Malina Joshi in the Top 15 in Miss Asia Pacific World 2013

Miss Nepal 2011, Malina Joshi, the Nepali representative to the Miss Asia Pacific World 2013 was selected one of the top 15 in the finale held in Korea on October 30. There were contestants from 50 different countries eyeing for the crown. Although Miss India Shristi Rana snatched the crown and Malina couldn’t win any runner-up titles, the selection in top 15 in itself is considered a great feat for a Nepali representative.

Other beauties in the top 15 list include Miss Australia, Miss Ukraine, Miss Vietnam, Miss India, Miss Nepal, Miss Philippines, Miss Russia, Miss Trinidad & Tobago, Miss Sweden, Miss Egypt, Miss Central Africa, Miss Kazakhstan, Miss Latvia, Miss Mozambique, and Miss Mongolia.

Namrata Shrestha to romance with Anmol KC in an unnamed movie

The maker of ‘Saayad‘ and ‘Hostel‘, Durgish Films has announced its third movie. The movie will feature the actors of both ‘Saayad’ – Samyam Puri and ‘Hostel’ – Anmol KC, Salon Basnet and Gaurav Pahadi in main roles. The movie will also feature actress Namrata Shrestha.

The unnamed movie to be made on love story will feature Namrata romancing with the actors. The script of the movie to be directed by Suraj Bhushan is being prepared.

The producer Sunil Rawal told that the workshop of the movie will start in January 2014. The shooting of the movie is expected to start in the new year 2071 (April/ May 2014).

Chhabi’s new movie Lazza to feature Aryan Sigdel and Shilpa Pokharel

The inauguration of an upcoming movie ‘Lazza’ was held in the Ganesh mandir of Kamaladi on October 28. Producer Chhabi Raj Ojha and director Nawal Nepal inaugurated the movie by offering puja in the temple. Chhabi’s another movie ‘Loafer’ is releasing in theater on Mangsir 21.

Although the movie was inaugurated on Monday, the shooting will not start until after the Tihar festival. In the mean time the lead actor Aryan Sigdel is busy in his home production ‘November Rain’. The movie is the debut movie of Aryan’s opposite Shilpa Pokharel. Shilpa, a well known model in music videos, has taken a formal training on acting in preparation of the movie.

‘Lazza’ is to be made on a love story by Chhabi himself. The script and dialogue is prepared by the director Nawal Nepal. The movie features music of Chetan Sapkota and will be shot by the cinematographer Madan Kashyap Ghimire.

Chhabi Ojha is known for introducing most number of new actor and actresses in Nepali movie industry. The top actor and actresses in Nepali movie industry including Rajesh Hamal and Rekha Thapa, Aryan Sigdel etc. were introduced by Chhabi.

ISHANI SHRESTHA'S SUCESS IN MISS WORLD 2013 (WATCH VIDEO)

Ishani Shrestha  Miss Nepal 2013 made whole Nepali proud by achieving a milestone in the MISS WORLD compitition. Among the contestants from 127 countries Ishani came in top 10 with 7th position. This is the higest rank ever that Nepali contestant has got till now. 

Ishani Shrestha also won the prestigious award "Beauty with Purpose". This was a first trophy that Nepali contestent achieved. Ishani Shrestha also got a chance to perform in Nepalese song "Maiti Ghar" in the final round. This chance was given to only 11 contestents from 127 contestents. This is first ever greatest achievement from any Miss Nepal. Meanwhile Miss World title was won by Philipine Megon Young. Similarly, France was 1st runner up and Ghana was 3rd runner up.

Apple released the cheaper iPhones for middle class users.

Apple has released new iPhone model namely iPhone 5 C. These phones are designed inorder to make iPhone avaible for the middle class family. Apple  flashed out the news that the price of these iPhones will be less than the other models of  iPhone 5 . But users of iPhones who were exicted to buy new and less priced iPhone have to be disappointed after Apple revealed the price of iPhones. Apple has tagged the price of iPhone C with the price of 549$ in US.

iPhone 5 C are available in five different colors. In Asian countries these phones will be available after 20 Sepetember. The covers of the iPhone 5 C are made up of plastic. We were surprised when Kantipur published an article about a, so called Nepali, sex film actress. we are not sure if she is Nepali or not but in a video that I came across, she says that she is an Indian. A well known actress and model of music videos, Shilpa Pokharel is going to debut in big screen Nepali movie in Chhabi Raj Ojha’s ‘Lazza’. Actress Namrata Shrestha is very attracted to gadgets, specially mobiles. Most of the time mobile is the only gateway to internet for Namrata as she rarely carry a laptop with her. She usually carry a Sony mobile and iPhone. Namrata got both of these phones as gifts. Namrata’s sister gifted her the Sony set and the iPhone 5 mobile was gifted on her birthday by Yamaha. Talking about history, Namrata says that it has been 10 years since she first owned a mobile. In the decade, she has also changed her mobile more than once a year. She says that she always loses or break mobile phones. During the shooting of ‘Chadke’ Namrata broke a Samsung mobile set. She felt bad for it as it was a costly mobile phone brought from abroad.

Actress Pooja Sharma’s movie ‘Madhumash’ is releasing on theater on this Friday, October 25. Although this is Pooja’s second movie after ’3 Lovers’, she prefers to call it the first. Pooja is a tourism student and believes that films and tourism can go together.

After doing her first movie ’3 Lovers’ Pooja realized that acting is not a joke. She needs to learn a lot of things about acting, dialogue delivery, interact with other artists and so on.

Rekha Thapa celebrates the success of ‘Kali’ by buying a new car

The release of Rekha Thapa‘s latest movie ‘Kali‘ posed a lot of threats. Some threats Rekha might have felt are:

• It was the first movie she had produced alone. All of Rekha Film’s previous movie were produced by Chhabi Raj Ojha.
• While Rekha was busy in ‘Kali’, Chhabi was producing his own ‘Loafer’. The media had termed the ‘Loafer’ actress Rajani KC the new Rekha. Some even speculated Chhabi marrying Rajani.
• The release date of ‘Loafer’ and ‘Kali’ was set on the same date – Fulpati of Dashain.
• These issueses led Rekha to approach Chhabi (or, the other way around) to let Chhabi distribute ‘Kali’. That saved Rekha from a tough competition. But, it also created another problem. The distributors Rekha had previously promised for the distribution of the movie got angered by the Rekha and Chhabi team. They found another movie featuring Rekha to release on the same date as ‘Kali’
• The Bhojpuri movie ‘Damani’ was a hit movie in Bhojpuri and it features Rekha in a guest role. The distributors, decided to highlight Rekha and release the movie to take away ‘Kali’ viewers.

Although Rekha’s ‘Kali’ was saved from the competition of Chhabi’s movie ‘Loafer’ it’s couldn’t escape  from herself in ‘Damini’. The publicity of the movie paid off and ‘Kali’ remained in theater for more than two weeks.

Rekha and the team say that the movie has made a good profit. According to media report, the movie has earned in excess of 1.5 crores. Rekha says that she has made a good profit after recovering the cost of production. To show-off the profit, Rekha has also bought a car costing Rs. 43 lakh. 

Nepali Movie – Madhumash (Pre-release Review)

Nepali movie ‘Madhumash’ is releasing in theaters on October 25, 2013. The movie directed by Sudarshan Thapa features Aryan Sigdel, Pooja Sharma, Manoj RC and Shivangini Rana in leading roles.

The movie features the cinematography of Deepak Bajracharya, fight direction of Himal KC, music direction of Suresh Adhikari, story of Dinesh Neupane, and script of Dinesh Neupane.

Movie features Aryan Sigdel as the lead actor and he is also a face value of ‘Madhumash’. Actress Pooja Sharma is starting her filmy career in this movie. Before starting acting, Pooja was engaged in media as a model and has done some music videos. ‘Madhumash’ is her first movie as a lead actress.

‘Madhumash’ is the director Sudarshan Thapa’s fourth movie with Aryan Sigdel. The debut movie of both Sudarshan and Aryan ‘Mero Euta Saathi Chha’ was loved by the audience. Aryan Sigdel Promoting Madhumash in Tito Satya Nepali TV Serial

Last week, actress Rekha Thapa was promoting her latest release ‘Kali‘ in ‘Meri Bassai’. This week, actor Aryan Sigdel is going to be promoting his new release, ‘Madhumash’ in another comedy serial ‘Tito Satya’. ‘Madhumash’ is releasing in theaters on October 25, 2013.

 

Aryan will be featured in two episodes of the popular comedy serial in Nepal Television. In the past, other actors like Rajesh Hamal, Prashant Tamang, Bhuwan KC, Keki Adhikari etc. had also appeared in television screen to promote their big screen movies.

Madhumash Nepali Movie to Release on October 25, 2013

Director Sudarshan Thapa‘s movie ‘Madhumash’ is going to release on October 25 (Kartik 8) in theaters all over Nepal. In a program organized in Kathmandu on October 19, the release date of the movie was announced.

In the event, Sudarshan told that he has high expectation from the movie. He told that he has done a lot of hard work in making the movie.

‘Madhumash’ features actors Aryan Sigdel, Pooja Sharma, Siwangini Rana and Manoj RC in main roles. The drama movie is produced jointly by Baburam Dahal and the director Sudarshan Thapa. The movie features the story of Dinesh Neupane, music of Suresh Adhikari, cinematography of Deepak Bajracharya, choreography of Renasha Rai and action of Himal KC.

Hostel producer Sunil Rawal sued journalist RK Subedi

‘Hostel’  and ‘Saayad‘ producer Sunil Rawal has accused journalist RK Subedi for defaming him. When Rawal refused to pay the money Subedi asked for the promotion of ‘Saayad’, Subedi had published various public notices in his magazine ‘Box Office’ weekly.

Sunil says that he had paid all the dues for the promotion of the movie in the magazine. It seems, Subedi did  a Puja for the movie and claimed the the cost Rs. 25,000. Sunil refused to pay the amount as the spending wasn’t agreed on beforehand. In a Facebook message Sunil said, ‘I have taken RK Subedit to the district court. He defamed me by telling that I didn’t pay him.’
